Our staff will be on hand to aid any early arrivals at the Scout School headquarters hotel.
MORNING: Classroom training. Learn what to look for in a player and how to evaluate their talents. Instruction on game preparedness and how to properly take in-game notes.
AFTERNOON: Accompanied by our team of Major League Baseball Scouts evaluate players at an Arizona Fall League game.
EVENING: Classroom training. Introduction to grading tools and the overall player.
MORNING: Continue to learn what to look for in a player. Introduction into player projection as well as how to grade on present and future scales.
AFTERNOON: Head out to an Arizona Fall League game with our team of Major League Baseball Scouts.
EVENING: Reconvene in the classroom to review your game notes as well as a deeper discussion into player projection, grading and report writing.
MORNING: Continue instruction on player evaluation and their future projected abilities. Delve deeper into grading tools and the overall player.
AFTERNOON: Head back to the ballpark with our team of Major League Baseball Scouts to watch another game and utilize your scouting skills.
EVENING: Review your game notes with our Major League Baseball scouts, and apply them to player projection with an introduction to report writing.
MORNING: Learn more about player projection and report writing in the classroom.
AFTERNOON: Put what you’ve learned into practice at a game with our team of Major League Baseball Scouts.
EVENING: Review your game notes with Major League Baseball scouts and get deep into player reviews; breaking down their tools.
MORNING: Review of all the Scout School lessons and answer remaining questions.
AFTERNOON: As a final element of Scout School, for those interested, we will discuss how to best pursue employment in professional baseball. Wrap up.
